Issue

AV Uninstall Tools Pack is a great tool, especially if you can’t completely uninstall an anti-virus program, because standard tools are often powerless in these situations. If you have errors or other problems during the uninstallation process, this utility package will also help you, so you shouldn’t worry about such trifles anymore. It is considered a best practice to use the application publishers own recommended uninstaller & utility when attempting to totally uninstall a security application, such as an Anti-Virus program. Using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) to completely uninstall these programs is often insufficient. Remove previous Antivirus software!

It is important that any previously installed antivirus software is uninstalled from your system before installing your ESET product. Typical uninstallation* using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) is often insufficient. ESET AV Remover tool


The ESET AV Remover tool will remove almost any antivirus software previously installed on your system. Click the appropriate link below to download ESET AV Remover, we recommend that you save the file to your Desktop. If you don't know which version to use, click here for instructions to find your system specifications:

If unsuccessful, or unable to identify the program installed, the tool will direct you back to the alphabetical list of uninstallers below.

  1. Click the link associated with the antivirus software currently installed on your system and follow the prompts or instructions on the website.
  2. Once uninstallation is complete, you will need to restart your computer. You may then proceed with installing your ESET product.

What if I can't find the program I want to remove?

If you don't see the program that you need to uninstall in the list below, follow these steps to remove your program:

  1. Start your computer in Safe mode.
  2. Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard, type appwiz.cpl and then click OK.
  3. Select the program you want to remove from the list and click Uninstall/Remove.

Antivirus Uninstall Tools Pack Download

    If you have Norton Family or Norton Secure VPN installed, uninstall them before you run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

  1. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

    Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location.

  2. To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key.

  3. Double-click the NRnR icon.

  4. Read the license agreement, and click Agree.

  5. Click Remove & Reinstall.

    You may only see the Remove option if your Norton product is from your service provider.

  6. Click Continue or Remove.

  7. Click Restart Now.

    After the computer restarts, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Norton. If you have any issues related to Norton installation after the computer restarts, read Install Norton device security.
